The new terminal, dubbed as LKY Metro Transport and Lifestyle Hub, was built on a 3.9-hectare land located right in the geographical center of Legazpi, the new integrated transport and lifestyle complex that replace the old bus terminal. The P150-million modern terminal is the first of its kind in the entire country – a showcase of what future transport terminals should be.

It will become a one-stop-shop catering to all the transport and lifestyle needs of the Legazpi market.

The transmission towers of SBN ETC TV 21, GMA TV 12, ABS-CBN TV 4 and MOR FM was set up on top of Mt. Bariw, virtually expanding their broadcast reach not only provincewide, but into Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Masbate, and as far as Northern Samar.

Albay Gulf is a large gulf in the southern part of Luzon island, Philippines. The place has been one of the tourist spots in the province because of the frequent sightings of Butandings (whale shark) in the coastal areas.

Albay’s GUICADALE Project Updates (July 2010)

Albay’s Guinobatan-Camalig-Daraga-Legazpi (GUICADALE) platform project. The project consists of circumferential road and new arterial roads cascading from the urban center of Guinobatan, Camalig, Daraga, Legazpi City and Jovellar. The project was designed to encourage economic activities safe from the threats posed by Mayon volcano eruptions, lahar flows, flooding and tsunamis. The expected benefit of the project include efficient access to the Bicol International Airport.

This project will eventually realize the goal to make Mega Daraga and Metro Albay.
