Every October of each year, the provincial government of Sorsogon celebrated its founding anniversary as a province along with the annual “Kasanggayahan” Festival. The Kasanggayahan Festival is celebrated with a series of historical, cultural, religious and economic activities, showcasing Sorsogon's agricultural products, particularly the Pili tree, which is indigenous to the province.
The most awaited event in the Kasanggayahan Festival is the Pantomina sa Tinampo. The Pantomina, a dance indigenous to bicolanos, is being performed during the said festivity.
