In 1990, it was voted by the BMW Tropical Beach Handbook as one of the best beaches in the world and again in 1996 by British publication TV Quick as the world's number one tropical beach

Shrine of Our Lady of Charity (Saint Agustine Parish Church, Bantay, Ilocos Sur). This is one of the oldest churches of Ilocos Sur, built in 1590. The facade, rebuilt after having been destroyed during World War II, is of neo-gothic design mixed with pseudo-romanesque elements.

The Mansion

The Mansion is the official summer residence of the President of the Philippines. It is located on the eastern part of the city along C.P. Romulo Drive (formerly a part of Leonard Wood Road) and right across from Wright Park. The Mansion is older than the city itself, and easily one of the most visited and photographed landmarks of the City of Pines.
