Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon Province
The fiesta color of summer come alive as Lucban, Quezon celebrates the Pahiyas Festival every 15th of May in honor of San Isidro Labrador. The festival is referred to by many as a fiesta to end all fiestas.
It is the farmers' thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest with a grand display of colorful rice wafers, fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts adorning every house in the town.
Getting to Lucban
By Car | From Manila take the South Luzon Expressway and exit in any of the following routes:
- Exit 52a (Lucena, Legazpi, Batangas exit) | Towns to pass, Sto. Tomas Junction - Alaminos - San Pablo - Tiaong - Candelaria - Sariaya - Lucena City - Tayabas - Lucban | Travel Time: 3 - 4 hours
- Exit 52b (Calamba, Los Banos, Pagsanjan exit) | Towns to pass, Calamba - Los Banos, Bay - Pila - Sta. Cruz - Pagsanjan - Cavinti - Luisiana - Lucban | Travel Time: 3 hours
By Bus | Commercial buses ply the three-hour Manila-Lucena route passing Tiaong, Candelaria and Sariaya or the Manila-Calamba-Los Banos-Sta. Cruz route.
