Bishop Miguel de Benavides Monument


Statue of Bishop Miguel de Benavides 

              The monument of Bishop Miguel de Benavides, O.P., stands in front of the main building entrance of the University of Sto. Tomas. His pioneering desire to establish an educational institution, with the fund he bequeathed paved the way for the establishment of the university in 1611. The bronze statue was originally unveiled in Intramuros in 1891. Made in Paris in 1889, it was installed in its present site in 1946. It bears the signature of Tony Noel.

The Provincial Capitol of Pampanga


           The Pampanga Capitol is the seat of the provincial government of Pampanga. The original building was constructed shortly after the provincial capital of Pampanga was transferred from Bacolor to San Fernando in 1904. 

           The monuments of Benigno 'Ninoy' Aquino Jr., Don Honorio Ventura, Chief Justice Jose Abad Santos, Maximino Hizon and Diosdado Macapagal are all found here.

The Church of St. Louis, Bishop of Toulous (Lucban, Quezon)


          The Church of St. Louis, Bishop of Toulous is located in Lucban, Quezon Province. It was constructed in 1593 but destroyed in 1629. The second church was constructed in 1630, but gutted by fire in 1733 and reconstructed in 1738. During World War II the church was partly destroyed and renovated by the Philippine Historical Commission in 1966. It is surrounded by gardens, grottos and stone walls called quince-quince. It enshrined the  image of San Isidro Labrador.


Metropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando City, Pampanga

         
         The Metropolitan Cathedral of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga is the seat of the Archdiocese of San Fernando. The Cathedral is located within the Heritage District of the city at A. Consunji Street in Barangay Sto. Rosario, fronting the City Hall.
